Stress Less and Be Healthy

It is always a good idea to Stress Less and Be Healthy.

However for the month of October there is a special focus on Stress, Depression, Anxiety and Mental Health.

Anxiety and Depression Awareness (ADA) Month October 2009

beyondblue are promoting Anxiety and Depression Awareness (ADA) Month during October. The purpose is to increase the awareness of anxiety and depression in the workplace, at home, with friends and family. We need to stress less before it leads to more serious health issues.

“The sad thing is, sometimes parents don’t understand depression. They think their sons or daughters are lazy. But it’s not that way at all. If ever you have had depression, all your energy goes, and what energy you’ve got left you’re keeping that to fight to stay alive, and you don’t mean to be angry or lazy…” says Brian Egan, Co-Founder of Aussie Helpers for Outback Farmers on page 101 of my book How To Overcome Stress Naturally.

Brian goes on to say “When I talk to my friends, when there’s something I need to get off my chest, I often find a solution just in talking.”

The Secret is just to sit down and listen to people.

During the month of October:

1.   Let us pay extra attention to our own thoughts in our head

2.   Let us pay extra attention to our friends and family

3.   Spend extra time listening and sharing time together

4.   Be Kind to Yourself and talk to a friend if you feel lonely, sad, anxious, depressed, lost…

5.   Think of successful outcomes for yourself and those needing help

6.   Smile and Find a Place a Peace and Calm inside yourself…

7.   Breathe Deeply Daily – 3 Deep Breaths will calm and relax you…

Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something, and sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.
